Great, Politico pulls the same stupid question as Fox news.
Worst part is I almost mistook it for Pro-Publica

Either way, still the same stupid Vague open ended question.

The wrong side is definitely gaining some ground :( Just upsetting how this unfortunate circumstances is gaining some political opportunist to raise the issue of gun control again especially since laws are already harsh as they are...

By all means, enlighten us! What should the question be?

This poll could use some heat and some serious numbers.
It would be nice to show the liberals how important self defense really is to America.

Something more specific on what type of gun control.
polls like this force a black/white mindset. The truth is often more complicated.

On another level, telling people to go vote on useless polls is like online petitions. What's the point? Reminds me of how all the Iranians kept on protesting obnoxiously in westwood about Iran's crackdowns. If they really wanted to do something about the crackdowns in Iran, causing noise pollution next to UCLA does jack squat.

Thankfully it seems we as a nation have not lost our minds yet. This appears to be trending towards reason instead of panic.

The best thing we can do as gun owners, is take a friend out shooting. Educate them, explain to them how they work, and all the special things we have to do in California...which.... if gun control worked, would be the safest State in the nation.

It's crazy that in less than 24 hours we (the internet) can manage to pull off over 200,000 votes on an online poll. How come this doesn't seem to work for calling/emailing elected officials, or simply going to vote during election?

In my opinion, calling and writing to senators and congressmen is rarely effective. Most have their minds made up about how they're going to vote. We could smother Feinstein's office with pro 2A letters and it's not going to change how she votes. Most of them are like that.

You Know, you might be right about a poll making little or no difference. OTH, if everyone else had your attitude and couldn't take the few seconds it takes for a couple of mouse clicks, the poll could have gone the other way and some anti group somewhere wod site this poll as proof that they are right and most want more GC.

Moral of the story? Even if it doesn't help, it doesn't hurt....unless the other side can use it against us if we don't do EVERY little thing we can!

Seriously though, it looks as if they've moved on. Probably didn't like the way it was trending.

Uh yeah, somehow I don't think there are lots of anti-gun people stacking the poll like the people in here. I just find it amusing that even some people in this thread seem to think this poll is even a representation of the nation as a whole. This whole holy crusade about the other side is getting old real fast.

There are proper channels to make a real difference.... This just looks like a circle jerk....
