I have heard of a process which involves shipping the pistol to a middleman outside the state. This middleman converts the pistol to a single shot and then ships it to CA. I hear this happens often and is perfectly legal, although most likely rather expensive.
Furthermore I hear that once it gets here one can then use a standard 10 round mag and it's all perfectly legal.

Does anyone know of a procedure like this?
I really want one of these cool looking fun plinkers.

Oops, yes, I guess I should have mentioned that this is the Umarex .22lr version of the HK 416 Pistol.

Op, sounds like u got it figured out.
Also, keep in mind, it has to have a bullet button, otherwise the external mag on a pistol makes it an assualt weapon
