OK after 2 months of sitting in the box, I finally got my Benelli put together, and noticed theres a 1/4 inch rod going through the center of the mag tube extension, with a funny shim, c-clip, and what looks like a small valve spring cup. Kinda like a freeze-plug with a hole drilled in the middle.

No doubt this is a limiter of some strange type. Anybody else have this?? When I take it out, which part do I put back the funky shim with a hole in it, or the cup type dealie?? Both will fit in the extension, but I cant just put the extension back on without one of these parts, as the extension is drilled all the way through.

Just use the cup alone.

the rod and "shim" are the limiter. The cup is the cap for the mag spring and goes inside the extension.

You do not need to take apart the extension or magazine to install/remove the limiter.

The cup goes on the end of the spring before installing the end piece. The clip is to hold the limiter in place so the SG is limited to 3 rounds for hunting. The clip isn't necessary if not using the limiter but I keep it in place just ot keep from loosing it.

Thanks for the help guys, I got it all sorted out now. It's sort of a QD magtube limiter. Into the trash you go....
