Many of you may not know that the DFG offers advanced clinics for hunters. It helps people get started hunting a specific animal or improve their general skills. Also, kids attend for free. Here is a list of the clinics:

* April 9-10 Land Navigation 1(Map & Compass)
* April 9 Wild Pig Clinic - Monterey Co
* April 30 Black Powder Hunting Clinic
* May 14-15 Land Navigation 2(GPS)
* June 11 Wild Pig Clinic - Sonoma Co
* June 25-26 Land Navigation and Wilderness Survival
* July 30 Wild Pig Clinic - Tejon Ranch
* August 6 Game Care and Cooking
* August 13 Waterfowl Clinic - Butte Sink
* August 27 Upland Game Clinic - Rio Vista
* September 10 Waterfowl Clinic - Los Banos
* September 24 Upland Game Clinic - Peace Valley
* October 1 Waterfowl Clinic - San Jacinto
* October 15 Waterfowl Clinic - Klamath Basin

Thanks for the link, just wrote down the april 9th one in my calendar. few hours away. Hope its worth it.

I thought they did a good job when I took it. They BBQ pork as part of the lunch and it was great. I don't know if they are still doing that or not.

That's because there are no deer in CA. Might as well just stay home and watch it on TV. :43:

Some years they have a two-day big game clinic but I don't see it this year.
