Anybody hear the latest on the Umarex MP5's? Are they being released? Does anyone have them in hand? I see several online places list them, but unavailable.

I know people have not-so-high opinions of the Umarex M4's, but a .22 spitting MP5 clone would be really cool, especially since they are supposed to be even closer copies of the real deal in looks than the GSG-5's.

I keep seeing people talk bad about the Umarex M4, but mine is perfect. I love it. I would not hesitate to buy a Umarex MP5.

But to answer your question, have not seen it out yet. I am waiting for the HK416 pistol they are supposed to be making.

The HK416 pistol is already out, but I believe that Gordon Miller does not ship to California.

Adam Webber of Hkparts.net will ship to California if legal. I have bought from him several times and am impressed with his customer service. He actually called me up when I bought my Umarex HK416.

The H&K licensed Umarex MP5 in .22LR are currently not available.

However...
The H&K licensed Umarex MP5 in 6mm (AIRSOFT) are currently available on the H&K USA webstore.
H&K/Umarex MP5 airsoft (product #708097) MSRP $166.32

Supposedly the .22LR version will be based on the airsoft version.

We have the HK 416 pistol and rifles in stock. The MP5 version is due to be released within the next few months I am told. When they come in we will have them for sure! :)

Bear in mind that the Umarex HK 416 pistol is not on the CA DOJ safe guns list.

The current configuration of the Umarex HK 416 pistol with the detachable magazine outside the pistol grip makes it an illegal AW in California. Additional discussion can be found on http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=323620&highlight=hk+416+pistol+umarex

To bring the pistol into California, the pistol must be converted to single shot first.

Good to know that the MP5's are at least still coming. I'll keep an eye out for them. Thanks for all the replies.

Great reminder, thanks! Not a problem for me, I have plenty of out of state contacts that can arrange for it to be made legal prior it being brought into CA, but for others, yes, that will be an issue.
