what a great price, 599 and free shipping. I am really happy. the finish is gloss wrinkel black with just a hint of brown in it. and gold highlights on the outside. tomorrow I will drill and bolt it down and then change the combo. I give this 5 stars plus.

I bought the door organizer for mine from Cabelas, it clipped right in place and works great with the pistol pockets.... well worth it.

any issues of the inside is really full it seems a door organizer may cuase the door not to close ? seems the doors closes very tight to the shelves, less than 1/2 inch ?

Hey,
Noob question here:
Why are your guns wrapped up? Is it to keep moisture out?

Keeps the guns from getting dinged up when putting them in and out of the safe. Also helps to keep fingerprints off when handling.

Congratulations. Be certain to get a golden rod dehumidifier or bags of desiccant to keep the moisture off the guns.

Did you purchase it on sale? It looks like it is listed for $799 on costco.com...

wow, that is one nice safe you got there. I wish I can afford to buy one of those.
My budget is around $300 for a safe.

yes. I hear it goes on sale once or twice a year.

about 450 pounds. its bolted down and inside my alarmed (electronic and 2 dobermans) house. it now has about 250 pounds of ammo on the shelves.

sock - silicone gun socks. wicks moisture away.

dehumidifier - I am in So cal away from the beaches. its pretty dry. I get inside a lot. do you really think I need a dehumidifier. the guns are cleaned and oiled minimum once a year. more often

I just installed my EX20, also. It is a great safe but I also have a giant version made by Canon. The bigger one is a lot better quality inside and out but for the money I also love the smaller one. The inside power outlet is pretty cool. The inside rails for installing shelves on the right side do not go all the way to the floor so if you wanted to install shorter rifles like M1 Carbines you can not mount a shelf low enough to give some storage underneath and use the right side for short rifles.

Nice. I found a coupon for it for $499 in my mailer. $499? For the EX20?? $300 discount??? Now, don't get us excited over nut'n. I haven't gotten the latest Costco mailer yet. Is coupon for the current period? If so, one is destined for my home address! :hurray:

$499 would be an awesome price ... is that delivered? I think I paid $579-$599 (Can't remember, don't want to ;) ) that was the price delivered to the curb. I gave the delivery guy an extra $20 tip if he would help me move it into the house....best $20 I've spent in a while (He did most of the work)

Gun socks are good protection but why not add a Goldenrod for additional insurance? It also can help with other items you might have in the safe.

Your Cannon is pre-wired and a Goldenrod is perhaps $20 or so on sale, so easy and cheap so not much downside to it!

My safe is overflowing , Trust me it looks big now but they fill up really quickly.....

Bolting it to the floor is a must but For added safety i would bolt it to the wall also...

Perps in TN must be beefier than here in CA, 'cus these things empty would need 2-3 guys to move! Somehow, a perp rolling a safe down your driveway on a furniture dolly would raise major suspicions. So much for "smash 'n grab". I agree on bolting a lightweight Stack-on cabinet to the floor or wall, but why a safe? BTW, still waiting for an update on that $499 price...

EX20 Dimensions:

Your call... if it were me, I'd spend the $20! It's also cheaper to get the one Goldenrod than to get gunsocks for every additional piece that you acquire.

Even in SoCal, it's still a good idea to air out a safe. These things can collect a lot of moisture.

If you got the safe in people who are stronger smarter and quicker will get it out into a van and be gone if they know what they are looking for
and if they dont find what they are looking for and do find it I imagine you could have unwanted visitors again this time your unbolted safe will walk off

good point , but I also like the socks to protect the finish of the guns

I have the same safe. My ARs are not long enough to reach the top shelf thingy with the grooves in them. Any solution?

I have used a shop drawer (metal cabinet with thin sliding drawers) at the bottom, it raises your long guns up and you can also use the additional drawer storage efficiently.

Alternately you could even put a couple boxes of ammo at the bottom underneath your ARs if you want! :)
