So, umm... hows that work?

Many folks have .223 (or other rifle caliber) pistols, its a very common pistol caliber now, are they gonna try and mess with the sale of rifle caliber ammo because there are pistols that use them?

As a matter of fact, that's exactly what DeLeon tried after AB962 passed. AB2358 (http://www.aroundthecapitol.com/billtrack/text.html?bvid=20090AB235895AMD) from last year's session attempted to expand the caliber listing to include many common rifle calibers. It died, but not for lack of trying by antis.

That is the problem with this law, it does not spell out the impacted calibers and DOJ has not made any effort to clarify thus far. And that is why vendors are walking away from California right now, they cannot get any legal clarity on the products they sell.

confusion is the point! See what it has caused? No one knows, so no one wants to sell because of the consquences on a law that has NO specifics. They wanted to ban most rifle calibers too, but with it being shut down, this is their loophole.

from the link posted, .223 was lined out, but not 5.56...is that going to be a problem??

No, because that bill failed entirely.

This really is the only factual information about this new law! All other ab962 threads are worthless at the moment.
