For those that live in the Senate District 1 there is an election today!! verry sad that when I showed up at the poll there had only been 16 show up and that was at 11.

with this one looks like every vote will count.

Next time you might want to put the Senate district in the thread heading. I just clicked to see how far out of whack the OP was. Nice to know I was wrong about ya.

51 voted at our polling place so far. I tossed mine in the bucket for Gaines.

Ted Gaines won (http://rosevillept.com/detail/168339.html):

Assemblyman Ted Gaines won the Senate District 1 special election race with 63.2 percent of the vote as reported by the California Secretary of State’s office at 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Our new state senator continues the tradition of this district's guy being pro-2A. :)

Glad Ted won. I voted after work last night around 5:30 and was only the 38th voter. There were 6 poll workers when I arrived, they seemed like climbers stranded on a icy mountaintop that had no outside contact for months. It was sad to see such lack of interest and civic duty.
