Which would you rather have? Both have nice bores, round receivers, izhevsk, and priced the same. However, the ex-sniper has a better stock.

Well generally I prefer guns with the better condition so probably the ex-sniper.

That depends, if the ex-sniper is PU, then the DDR. If the ex is a PEM, then the ex-sniper.

Its a PU ex. I was leaning towards the DDR, hmm. I believe this will require a bit more though. I've already have a hex, and two round izhevsk 91/30s with darn near flawless bores. I'm not sure about another izhevsk unless it really speaks.

If it were me it would be the DDR rifle. People say they're not all that rare but I have yet to see one in the wild. Also, to me, a rough stock means use and use means history. And I'm pretty much a geek for ComBloc Mosins anyway.
Tell you what, OP. You take the ex-sniper and send the DDR one my way. How much are we talking here? Are these at a Big-5?

I have never seen a DDR floating around either. I would love that.

Yeah- I'd say the Deutsche Demokratische Republik too. I've seen dozens upon dozens of ex-PU snipers with nice stocks. I've NEVER seen a DDR marked mosin to date (and I've seen a LOT of Mosins since I started collecting).

Hmmm.. Not bad but I "think" I've just committed my funds to another toy. Either grab the DDR or buy both!
