w/out magpul mission swing to hold some of the weight, this beast weighs a ton

close up of primary arms 5mw green laser (samson hooded front iron sight)

why are those ridiculous zip ties there?? any guesses?

left side & reveal the pressure switch for green laser (also have red laser on this side :D )

yeah, something this simple allows me to leave green laser on as long as needed, w/out having to hold it. the design of the handle makes it easily feasible. bottom zip tie is looser allowing it to grip lower, well, on the grip, thus holding pressure switch

hope all are having an awesome holiday season & onto a great 2011

(all these captures & this rifle is currently in washington state. stayed in carmel valley, ca most of the summer & have really been missing it w/nw rainy season)

That thing's a beast! Very nice! You should try using an old (or new, they're only ~$5) mountain bike inner tube to hold that pressure switch in place. Just cut off a cross-section and slide it over the grip and pressure switch - it might be more comfortable than those zip ties. :)

^^kewl idea which i hadn't considered & i'm a bmxer aka racing 20 & 24" bikes @ santa clara pal as much as i could make it. so know i have an old inner tube out in garage somewhere.
zip ties aren't that bothersome, but the bottom having to stay loose til it's needed does bother me a little
thanks brother

Where'd you get the check riser? Thinking about getting one for my 556.

cheek riser/rest was acquired via an airgun supplier. it clicks onto the butt & guarantee more accuracy

WOW. I thought mine was all tricked out!!! I've been beat.

yours is also very pimped out surfNshoot, i just wanted it way over the top. apparently goal acheived. figured i'd get flamed for wasting money on such an inexpensive rifle :TFH:
just glad others can appreciate the style & look i was after
unique is an understatement cause you can NOT acquire od green front forearm from sig, even if you've owned a 556 in od. they only made enough for the specific rifles released in that color. crazy, eh? so i bought black & had it professionally custom color matched. getting exact tone & color (lack of reflecting light) was a real challenge. took 3 time/s for a guy that's been matching auto paint for over 20 yrs.
& that savage (drooling)
definitely better rifle for what i thought i could do w/this rifle.......
will try 20" barrel conversion from sig first though, as i believe they're making it specifically for target practice & much better accuracy beyond 50yds

maybe i'll call sigs' customer service & wait 45 minutes for that answer

i want 3 rounds through the same hole @ 100 yds or i'll be bummed.

perhaps my expectations & 22LR, just doesn't have enough speed, for what i'm trying to achieve. idunno

If anyone flames you for how you setup your rifle they can go pound sand. It is YOUR rifle afterall haha. Everyone has their own taste and thats cool. If not we'd all be wearing the same clothes and all be driving white hondas haha.

See i like that kinda excess cuz it serves a purpose. Just carrying it in up and aimed position and kneeling and maintaining low positions while say watching football is like a workout and strengthens your endurance for such biomechanics.
