Okay so I have a MPA MAC .45 and I am a NH resident but stationed in cali. If I install the BB and a 10rd mag does that make it 100% legal in california or do i have to install a barrel extension to eliminate the threaded barrel? Also the special weapon permit for military is now made so its impossible to get.

Thanks
Nick

Well......as long as it follows THE FLOW CHART it should be ok.

i just need to make sure its 100% good because the firearms department is no help on making it legal, they just told me to bring it into state "At my own risk."

They sell MPA's in cali, I have a MPA30. Not 100% sure how to bring yours in from out of state as we have to register as single shot and then we can convert back after. You might have to do similar. Someone will chime in with the real facts though

If you want to keep the threaded barrel you will need to install a magazine lock. If you want to turn down the threads or get a different barrel you can skip the magazine lock. If you permanently install a brake or can you can also skip the magazine lock.

Leave your 11+ round magazines at home and everything else is good to go.

I'm assuming that this isn't a Class III MAC 10, correct? If so you SOL.

If it isn't then as long as you follow THIS (http://www.calguns.net/caawid/flowchart.pdf) you'll be fine.

If you're a service member stationed in California:

http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/forms/pdf/mawpapp.pdf

There is a permit available to you that may allow you to keep your MAC in the original configuration.

Thank you for your service.

the OP mentioned that that permit was "now made so its impossible to get", that is because CADOJ changed the requirements for the permit.

this part is new,Official letter signed by the applicantís Base Commander, establishing that a bona fide necessity exists for use of personal assault weapons in sanctioned military activities. The letter must include a current telephone number for the Base Commanderís office.and has become a roadblock for some.

Good catch, my knoweldge of the subject is five years old - a relative PCS'd and brought his gear with, no problem getting the permit at that time.

That's because the purpose of their existence is to create criminals. If they wanted to actually HELP somebody they wouldn't work fo the govt.
