Well I havenít had a 22 lr since I sold my 10-22 when I was 16, well it did pay for the paint job of my 57 Chevy, for what it worth, I got it painted bright canary yellow! Lol.... My dad was soo pissed.. Anyway life moves on and now at forty something ;) I finally decided it was time to get another 22. Especially since my son can and does shoot up hundreds of rounds off 223 every time we go.. ManÖ thatís hurts hahaa..

The new family 22 needed to fit the following roles:
1. Accurate, shoots straight, etc.
2. TacO cool for the boy

That was pretty much it.. I did tons of reading up on line and really found some great reveiws on this 22.

Iím actually heading out the range in a few hours so weíll she how she performs and how picky she is or isnít..

On to the pics..

I had to take her apart to see how she worked, how well she was built and perform all of the regular pre shooting stuff

I love this rifle!..
There were also several other people who shot it (actually they asked) lol.. and a few buddies, the general consensus across the board was Two thumbs up. I even loaned it to two kids, 2 lanes over for about 15 minutes.. Dadís gun was too big, dad looked like he was sweating, hahahaa so it was offered it up for a handshake and an understanding.. The two boys loved it.. they were smiling from ear to ear and dad was their supervising the whole time, plus the scope was a new experience for them so they got to actually experience what a 9x is.. Good times all the way the around..

After they finished up the boys shook my hand, thanked me and actually took some money out of their own wallet to try to pay me for the ammo they shot up.. I was shocked, surprised and thought ďWell done DadĒ.. I thanked them for the offer and shook their hands and parted ways.. Guys.. I just know that thanks to me, somewhere tonight 2 boys are bugging the crap out of their mom for a new 22 lr. LOL.. My work is done.. :D
Anyway..
Once I had the scope dialed in I was banging the bowling pin at 100 yards (it was almost to easy) 50 yards was extremely controllable when I wasnít shaking it around that is ;) .Ö I just forgot how much fun a real 22 is..

Hereís the target I had at Angeles today and we were blasting those clays and banging the pin

That was the before shot,, lol.. This is the after math of a scoping in several rifles.. My buddy the marine did most of the damage.. LOL.. please Donít me wrong guys, he shoots GREAT, this is just something to raz him about.. hahahaa..

I did take up a few different kinds of ammo thinking Iím going to need to shoot it and see what she does or doesnít like.. Iím sorry to report guys, but we never left the Remington 525 value pack hahaha.. I figured why go the CCI, Win, etc if it eats Remington.
Accuracy was way better than I would have hoped for.. Iím really looking forward to just sitting down and shooting her without any distractions.. Iím thinking Iím going to be really pleased with her

I am a big guy 6í2Ē 210 lbs and the rifle did feel a little small to me, my buddy whoís 5-8 thought it fit him great.. so IDK take that for what it worth. Again please don't get me wrong Iím not *****en, Iím just saying that I felt a little cramped shooting it.

Overall IMO itís a great rifle and was well worth the founds. Iím lucky enough to be heading out with my soon this weekend, for some father son bonding and I know heís going to love it..

The Sig 522 has defiantly found a place in my safeÖ

Anyway.. Thanks for your time everybody and have a great one

Glad you were having fun. Putting the ring on the rail won't hurt the rifle. The railed handguard is clammed on, it will flex and/or move. Because of that, the scope may not hold the zero. I put both rings on 522's receiver.
