recently i've been noticing the trigger on my g23 pinches my trigger finger. i'm unsure if its related, but i started to notice after installing a lighter trigger connector. that being said, i've also started shooting A LOT more than i used too.

thoughts? opinions? comments?

maybe its pinching while reseting (finger too low on trigger)??

You must have baby soft skin... :p

Seriously, though... You're probably too low on the trigger.

could be, i have developed a bit of a callus on the side of my finger from dragging on the trigger guard. i've since moved my finger to where it no longer drags, but i still get a bit of a pinch.

If you have a video camera, you should film your shooting. Get a camera shot that shows your grip and finger on the trigger during the break of the shot. Once you can see what is happening, you can change it.

I have a gen 3 Glock 17 and it did pinch my finger when I first got it, but whatever was causing it smoothed itself out after a couple hundred rounds and it is perfectly fine now.

My Glock 30 pinches my pinky, hence the reason why I switched to the G30 9-round magazines and Pearce PG-29 grip extension.

Thats pretty typical of the G23. It's a snappy round and the serrated target trigger will dig into the crease in your first joint trigger finger. The best way to resolve that is to replace the entire trigger and bar out for a smooth G17 setup. It's a drop in, and your finger woes will disappear.

www.glockworx.com they've got some very nice triggers. All of their triggers come with a flat face. Mine really feels great. Not to mention the trigger pull is light and clean, but has a very tactile reset like the original triggers.

My index finger slides on the bottom of the trigger guard. Could that be it?

G23 pinches...a known fact.

My wife mentioned that the one time she tried a Glock (G17). At the time I didn't think much of it because she has problems with every autoloader she tries.

my S&W .38 snubby pinches me(on trigger release); but I have huge hands and its a tiny handgun.

Interesting...

What part of the trigger or your finger gets pinched. Mine hasn't pinched me...is your grip correct?

well i have to use my phalanx phalange for trigger pull(rather than the distal) for my bg38, but thats because my hands are so big. That added to the fact that I have fat fingers produces a little pinch right around the second IP joint. Unless of course you are talking to the OP.....

Happens to me when I shoot alot of rounds. I no longer shoot glocks because of it.

My Glock 23 also pinches my finger. I thought it was just me, but I've had friends shoot my gun and tell me the same thing. It's funny because when I put in the 9mm conversion barrel it doesn't pinch. I think it has a lot to do with the .40S&W round and the recoil impulse. But I'm no expert.

DOOD,
I agree with you on the .40 part. No problems with the 19 I was issued but when we switched over to the 23 the blood blisters started appearing.

Yea, the 23 does it to me, too.

17? No.
34? No.
21? No.

There's a reason I don't shoot .40.

My trigger finger doesn't like the raised middle portion/safety lever area of the serrated trigger on the Glock 19. Last range trip on a cold day, I only made it through 15 rounds.

My 23 pinches me and I've even put a G17 smooth trigger in it.

i was pretty much expecting to be the only one with this issue, good to hear thats not the case.

to clarify, its pinching right on the pad of my finger where it meets the face of the trigger.

Sounds pretty much like my issue http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=375543

I'm going to buy the smooth trigger and give it a try.

great info, thanks!! mine doesn't bother me to the point where i dont want to shoot anymore, but it's quite irritating. i think i'll give the smooth trigger a try as well, that seems like the most logical solution at this point.

joe_sun: is your finger being pinched by the bottom of the trigger and the guard, or the face of the trigger itself?

It's really not pinching It's trigger slap and after around 100 rds it leaves a blister on my index finger

I have yet to experience the "Glock pinch" by either a trigger or a finger extension.
