I'm taking my ruger 10/22 apart to just see the innerds and stuff and i can't get 1 of the 2 pins that seperates the trigger group from the barrel/reciever out. It's the one near the back. It will not budge and i'm putting good pressure on it. I have the bolt released like the manuel says. Am I doing something wrong? What can I do to fix this or am i screwed.

get a punch and hammer and just tap it out. that is what i did for the first few times then after that it just falls out on its own.

Figured out the above part. i noticed i accidently pulled the trigger when punching out the pins. Do the 4 screws for the scope plate need to be sealed down with loctite or anything like that? just wondering

Video documentation will be a very important part of our entertainment.

Why are you pulling the fcg to install a scope plate?

Is it a metric or standard scope plate? Which direction does the beveled end point?

.....anyone know what he is trying to do?

Are you trying to install a scope base? just undo the 4 screws on top and screw in the news ones with the rail....why u take everything else apart?

^^^This, exactly. Quit dissecting it and just go shoot the dam thing. It's a gun, not Legos.

I was cleaning it for the first time. Accidentally pulled the trigger and that part came out. after i cleaned and oiled it, i figured out how it went back together, then assembled the 10/22 to the stock. I guess the scope mount plate goes on a certain way. I had it turned around so only 2 screws were being shown. I didn't realize it went on in a certain order. I'm done now here it is
