View Full Version : What kind of old revolver is this?

I am doing some research on this revolver. It has S&W on the grips, but nothing else except a serial number that is hard to read on the bottom. Thanks!

Looks like an early S&W pocket pistol.

Looks like a S&W 38 2nd Model.

Can't find a pic, but yours should have a trigger guard and it looks like the trigger is falling out.

Apparently this one is a "baby russian" I don't really know anything about them, just found this on google search.

ETA: yours has a different cylinder, do you know what yours is chambered for?

My guess is it's a .32 S&W.

I concur it looks like a Smith & Wesson Double Action Second Model .38 S&W. Cool.

I looked again and there is the Smith & Wesson and patent information along the top of the barrel and the calipers confirmed it is a .38.
