what do you plan on shooting it out of?

Buckmark; I have been shooting the bulk federal, but after about 40-50 rounds it starts jamming up failing to eject the rounds.

I shoot this out of my Ruger Mark II and never have any problems (in 500 rounds).

i'd say get a 100 round box and give it a try. it's a 40gr bullet compared to 36gr in federal bulk. but in general i've never had to many problems with it.

Ive used alot of these on ground squirrels. I have 7 marlin 60s. when my kids were small it seemed like I spent all my time clearing jams, till I found mini mags. Ive yet to find an auto loader that they didnt work in. they are not the most accurite load in all those guns but they are accurate enough and they work the action. one of the big back east collages uses them for both practice and match ammo. and the price is right. minimags are one of the cleanest, most dependable cycling rounds for a .22 semi you can buy. the round nose 40 grain is my plinking as well as hunting round and i buy at least 2 bricks a month.

Check WalMart, depending on the shipping, that deal might be better had at Walmart. You can get a 100 round box (5 to a brick, and 3 bricks will equal this deal) for 6.47 a box, which equates to 6.47 cents per round. 3 bricks will be 97.05 at walmart. Figure tax, that's only ~$106 OTD. And you'll get it that same day! lol

This has free shipping. Are minimags much better than the blazers which have been on sale recently?

mini-mags are the top .22lr to use for most finicky .22lr guns. they are the goto ammo if your semi-auto is having issues cycling other ammo. and quality is a bit better than blazers.

My local Walmarts sell the hollow points. I hear the round nose are a bit more accurate. I picked up two boxes in Fontana yesterday at $6.47 each.

Anyone know if the Marlin 795 will take these....cant remember if it can take 40grain high velocity. TIA
Edit* looked on Marlin's homepage and I guess it can take federal high velocity....so I guess it can also take minimag high velocity as well. Correct me if I am wrong...

These are fine in your 795. Most .22s love them.

Mini-mags is the only ammo that reliably works with my Sig Mosquito. I have always used 40 GR RN. Does anyone know if it would work with the 36GR HP? - same price

CCI Mini-mags = excellent ammo. Always feeds reliably for me. Always goes bang.

I like the nice plastic boxes too. I save 'em and refill with "bulk" ammo for easy carry in the backpack.

Walmart here usually has Mini-mags in stock for $6.49 / 100.

i don't know if there is any semi that does not cycle minimags consistently and for the longest time because it burns so clean...only if you have an older semi (like a first gen colt woodsman) that's not made to fire anything stronger than standard velocity would minimags not be good...

my buddy has the mosquito and he uses the 40gr; he says it fires the 36gr ok...i'd only opt for the 36 hollow points if i was hunting with it or if 40 wasn't available.

I think that the only ammo that comes close to CCI Mini-Mags is the Blazer ammo. There is actually a really good deal on them right now 525 rounds for $17 delivered.

i wouldn't say blazer is close to minimags; blazer is cci's bulk/budget ammo and it's a soft nose lead...i'm currently giving blazers a good audition in my semi's; the buzz is it burns a bit dirty so i want to see how many mags it takes before fouling and jams begins, if at all...

cheap ammo doesn't burn cleanly which is why i do not buy bulk or any of the low end offerings of winchester, remington or federal...cci products are top quality, so i hope maybe i have a budget ammo option to go to...

------

what the heck; picked up some stingers off that discount code...they rarely have a sales price...

I just ordered 1500 rounds. The after thought is, can ammo still be shipped to California or Long Beach?
