I've been waiting for this to come to CA. I was told the release date
for the H&K- Umarex MP5 A5 .22 LR was in October of this year!
But have not found any?

HK-mp5 A5 22 will not accept GSG5 Magazines. It will have HK stamped on the receiver. It will have take down pins. Retractible stocks will be standard. Magazines will be the same specs as original HK94- MP5 but in 22lr.

MSRP will be around $530.00

MP5 A5

If anyone has one and purchased in CA, please chime in and let us know how you like it.

Many Thanks!

Have not found it for sale.

The .22LR Umarex HK416 is out, but nada on the .22LR Umarex MP5.
The .22LR Umarex HK416 was suppose to be out by Summer 2010, but didn't actually become available until last month or so.

The airsoft Umarex MP5 & MP7 are available through the HK USA webstore.

Hmm, the OAL according to HK's site is about 26". So I don't think we'll be seeing any of these in our local shops....

I've never seen one with the stock fully pulled in. I'm pretty sure there's some length limit regarding that. Shame, would ease transportation, maybe even good long hikes. And be hella fun at the range

Overall Length 26.5–32.5 in (675-825 mm)
There should be no problems with OAL.

Don't know if anyone here has gotten the answers they wanted about the Umarex .22lr MP5 SD and A5 replicas now being produced.

This morning I put an order in for the MP5 A5, and will be able to provide some feedback a the next couple of weeks.

They are available at Turners. Saw the SD version with the retractable stock at Signal Hills. Build quality was very good. Sorry I don't remember the the cost.

Saw both versions of the HK in the Turner's in San Marcos.

My google fu is poor today. I can't find the take down and cleaning instructions for the Umarex MP5 22lR. Does anyone know is it any easier to clean and disassemble compared to the GSG5?

Umarex has their own Youtube channel that shows maintenance and breakdown videos. UmarexArms is their channel.
