Pretty much.
That Mosin looks like a sac of balls.
I'll give him $30 for the action/barrel.

Ah yes, this thing was just posted over on GnG a few days back. I'll say here what I said there- it looks like a thrice-eaten dog sh*t rolled in black legos.

The concept isn't bad, but the aesthetics are terrible. Or, to cut and paste again from the other forum...

"I think a better analogy would be that he took a '57 Chevy and put ground effects, a spoiler, and 30 inch spinner rims on it.
I'm not criticizing his RIGHT to do it, I'm criticizing his lack of taste, style, and craftsmanship. With the exception of maybe the threading on the brake, that rifle probably took all of 45 minutes to chop together. The CONCEPT of what he did isn't horrible, but I can't say the same for the execution of it. If you're going to mod a milsurp, at the very least, use parts that look like they came from the same era, give or take 50 years....or parts that are vaguely in the same style....or the same material....or that look....good.

Just my 2 cents,

Probably the coolest thing about it is the new trigger/safety setup. I wonder how they did that? That's not just a drop in deal is it? A legit safety on a Mosin would be great!

Edit: Just did some quick research and Timney actually makes a drop in trigger assembly for the Mosin Nagant! Who woulda thought?!

Yeah that's a bolt-on. Nothing custom there.

Timney and Huber both make replacement triggers for the Mosins, and I think both of them have the Remington-style safety.

I've seen a lot of really bad sporterized milsurps, but I do believe that could be the biggest POS I've ever seen.

A $99 Mosin plus the $270 CB system, throw a nice $200 scope and you got yourself a very nice futuristic long range rifle.

For the AK, there's no bullet button and I've yet to get a response from them regarding this. If it's legal I'll be picking both the Mosin and the AK stocks this summer!

Here's an idea. Instead of using your nice M.N, buy this for $60 http://www.rguns.net/rifles/rifles-bolt.shtml and use that. I hope it comes with the screws though. On your way, buy one of those badass orginal PU sniper rifles WITH ORIGINAL PU SCOPE AND TURNED DOWN BOLT! freaking aaaaaaa!

It's a really neat idea but the only thing I don't like is the silly flap over the bolt in the rear.

A legit safety on a Mosin would be great!

Mosins don't have "legit" safeties because you're not supposed to stop shooting in the Red Army. You only stop when you're dead, and before death you engage the safety so as to "disable" the Mosin so that the enemy cannot use it against Mother Russia!!! Safety is created by blowing all your enemies to pieces.

Poor taste, very, very poor taste.
