My understanding of CA gun law is that you are allowed to have on your person a loaded firearm in your home, or in a campsight.

If you are travelling in an RV or truck with camper shell, pull over on some backcountry road, park, and call it home for the night, may you have a loaded firearm on you even though it's not an officially designated campsight? What are the rules for people who live out of their vehicles?

I learned something new today.:) Im not sure Id care to try it but I will leave that to you.

Im not totally sure about your packing heat in a campsite but the law does allow for fishermen to carry while fishing.
