For CZ pistol owners, except P07/Omega.
"KADET KIT WILL NOT WORK WITH OMEGA OR P07 DUTY PISTOLS"

The price is better than gunbroker price by at least $30-$50.

Yeah. I have a Beretta Neos .22 that I use to plink with, but I'm glad that I'll be able to start training and plinking on the platform I plan on using the most for all purposes.

When I called on Monday (12/13) morning, they said they had 16 in stock. It's now sold out on Wednesday morning. That's fast!

Got my Kadet kit earlier today, tried it out at the range a few hours earlier. Didn't require any fitting, but it did fit REALLY tight in the frame. I'm still able to install and remove the slide assembly without any tools though, so I don't think I'll be filing it down at all to keep its resale value up.

This thing is INSANELY accurate. The only thing I'm concerned about is light primer strikes. I haven't had any problems with light primer strikes out of the 150 rounds I fired earlier, but when I look at the strikes on the rim, they look much lighter than the strikes from other rimfires. For that matter, even with the original P-01 slide on, the primers look like they're hit pretty lightly, but still go bang every time.

One other issue that I wasn't anticipating was how dirty shooting rimfire through the gun would be. This is my only handgun, which also means it's my HD gun. Shooting rimfire through the thing litters the frame with not only black soot, but also grainy particulate from the bulk ammo. I'll just say that it added a good half hour and a few dozen more Q-tips to the cleaning process.

I enjoy the Kadet kit just as much as the S&W41 and 617

BTT and heads up everyone. The kits are back in stock....

I've been looking for one for the past month and even my wholesale dealer has them for only $330 + tax + shipping....so, $343 w/ no tax and free shipping is a great deal!

Wow, I remember when they were under $250. Then again, CZ-75b's were under $450 as well back then.

Looks like some kind of discrepancy whether the kit will work on the Omega models. The CZ USA site says "NOW WORKS WITH OMEGA MODELS AS WELL". http://shop.cz-usa.com/P-01610/Cz-75-Kadet-Adapter-Cal-22-Lr-Black-Polycoat.aspx The CZ Custom site says it will not work with the Omega models but both sites list the same part number, which is 01610. Has anyone used one on an Omega model?

Sure is a lot of money for a third of a gun. Every time I almost buy one, I get a case of 9mm fmj and some fancy HP, for less, instead. Maybe someday.

I don't have Omega so I can't tell. But last time I researched kadet, there supposed to be a #01611 kit which works with Omega trigger. The one I received in December has "KADET 2" on the slide, and the model number is also 01610.

Give CZ a call and report back here please.

I have a Kadet kit on my Standard 75B and love it. I use it more at the range than even my S&W 41.

I also have an Omega, but have not tried the Kadet on that frame. I did find a post discussing how to fit a Kadet to an Omega frame, but I have not tried this myself. For those who are interested, here's the link.

PS - CZ is offering a 15% discount on the Kadet. This makes it $325 which is the lowest I have found it Online. You have to put the purchase in your Cart to see the discount. The sale ends today. They will begin shipping out in 2 weeks.

Not wanting to thread crap but.....

Does the Witness kit fit?

I just got one for $159, and the Witness is a CZ clone.

Flawed logic. The Kadet kit is a fine piece of engineering; very accurate, very fun and you'll end up shooting it more than any other pistol. The cost savings in .22 will give payback in just a few range trips for the number of rounds fired vs. 9mm. You can get 500 rounds of .22 for about the same cost as 100 rounds of 9mm and have fun at the range 5x longer.

The Kadet Kit is worth its price.

CZ Custom doesn't always offer free shipping. Steele Firearms has them for $345 shipped but not sure how often they're in stock. http://steelefirearms.com/
