Anyone need some 8x56r? This ammo is for a Steyr Mannlicher M95. All of it is in original packaging with enbloc clips. Most of the clips are Nazi marked.

Yea, this should probably be moved down to the for sale section, but what are looking for per box? I may be interested in buying a couple for collector value.

Not really sure what it is worth. ~$1-$2 a round in the clips seems to be the going rate. So I guess $20 a single box of 10 or $100 for a 100rds in the clips? Does that sound fair?

do you have a pic of the markings on the clips?

Most are the chicken holding the Nazi symbol. But some boxes are different. I have like 75 boxes and they seem to randomly vary.

once you find out how much you want to charge for the ammo, please make a WTS thread in the ammo & reloading section

Thanks

Dude. $2 per round before shipping? It comes up on Gunboards all the time for like half that.

Dude . . the enbloc clips are $5ea at Numrich when they have them.

Checked Gunbroker
220 rounds for $275 + shipping
20 rounds for $30 + $10 shipping
40 rounds for $80 + shipping
10 rounds for $15 + $10 shipping
10 rounds for $20 + shipping
20 rounds for $50 + shipping
100 rounds for $100 + shipping
10 rounds for $30 + shipping

Everything Numrich sells is expensive. The list you compiled is impressive but I can tell you for a fact that I have bought several hundred rounds in boxes, on clips for +/- $1 a round from Gunbroker and Gunboards within the last year. Best of luck with your sale.

Never really considered Numrich expensive personally.

But hey thanks for the well wishes! Let me know if you need any 8x56r!

If you want say 500 rounds I'd make you a deal!

Here's 350 rounds for only $550

Heck, I just reload my buck and a quarter a round Prvi. Wouldn't want to shoot the Nazi stuff I got from J&G for .50 per 2 years ago.

I just bought some (250 rounds) for less than $1 a round. I've generally paid 80 cents to a dollar per round on clips after shipping, and this is for any quantity to include small quantities, mostly from gunbroker. The guys selling them there for really high prices like $20 for 10 rounds and the like (or more) keep relisting their ammo for a reason. I always look for opportunities to buy this ammo but it needs to be a good price. If one is patient one can get good prices on gunbroker.

Nice score! Keep the ammo and buy a carbine to go with it.

Actually I found some M95/30's and I'm going to buy two. Figure I'll take some ammo home and shoot one gun and leave some ammo in the store to sell with the other gun. Win all over the place . . . . :D

attaboy. personally i'm saving all my nazi-marked stuff as it's only increasing in value, just waiting(forever) for Buffalo Arms to send my Prvi Brass. the wankers let me order it without denoting that they were out of stock and had been for a while. now it'll be a year before i see it, or my money, whichever comes first. gonna just order some loaded ammo from grafs, shoot and reload it. already have dies and bullets, just no brass :(

What size bullet do I need to reload the 8X56r

I have to admit Ive never actually seen ammo for those little steyr carbines and now I see it overflowing a table not bad. I think the only reason I didnt buy one is the ammo is so expensive Id rather pay twice as much for the rifle(k31 or finn m39) and half as much for ammo as I know which Ill use more of :)

.329. If your bore is a bit more worn down you may have to have something a bit bigger. The modernized Steyr M95 is a true 8mm as opposed to a 7.92mm (the previous 8X50R was actually 7.92 despite the name).

I handled one at Big 5 and knew at that point that I had to have one. Bought one from a member here with 40 rounds on clips. I finally got to shoot it and it is pretty accurate. The tall Bulgarian sight seems to bring it to something close to 100 yards using the 300 pace sight notch (which is the equivalent of 250 yards).

OP if you're interested in making a business out of selling 8x56r please let me know I'll be willing to sell you a **** load. Also have a shoebox full of extra clips too.

It will go great with my K-31, which also uses odd ball ammo. ;)

Would you be willing to sell that to others? I'm always looking for a good deal on decent quantities of this ammo, especially on clips.
