Take a look at Marlin and Savage. They make some nice, reliable, and fun .22 bolt action plinksters.

Savage MK II for around $250 is hard to beat for an accurate well made bolt. -g

Has anyone had any experience with a surplus CMP Kimber Model 82? Looks to be a solid rifle but a little pricey @ $600. http://www.thecmp.org/22targetsurplus.htm
