This is the second time that I have attended Darren's Tac Pistol (Level 1) class up at Burro Canyon. I come away from the class always learning something new and always refining my skills. After taking this class I have trouble going to an ordinary indoor range and not being able to "get off the X". This class has real world application for anyone who plans to CCW or seriously improve their firearms skills beyond just plinking at the range.

Self Defense Pistol Level 1 10/25/2014
Great class for a pistol shooter. We had all skills in the class from multi time class takers to first time class takers. A great variety of guns in the class helps one see how each drill can be different for the gun choice. Started the day with some discussion then the range safety brief. Once we stated shooting there was always a drill going on for somebody in the class. The first time class people were good shooters and familiar with gun safety just first time taking a class. The pace moved with the abilities of the class and always time for questions.
Darren & Mark split the class in half and worked us in two different groups. By the end of the day we were having a lot of fun and teasing each other while working drills. It wasn't play time at all its business but in a fun way. This class is totally worth the money and I can't wait to do it again. Thanks to my shooting partner Gina for all the help and competition!
I recommend 5 Arrows to anybody looking for a very informative class without a high pressure atmosphere or drill sergeant mentality.

Count me in!!
I took the class yesterday with my wife and we both had a great experience. Class was small (10) and Darren and Mark did an exceptional job. From beginning to end we covered safety, various moving a shooting drills, failures, etc. Great attitudes, very helpful instructions and a wide array of moving drills made this an exceptional class. Highly recommended, and with the option to attend again for a small fee, I'm sure we will be back for more.

Just took the tactical Shotgun w/Handgun class and highly recommend the class and the organization. Very professional with good 1x1 time. Doing this type of course has changed my mindset on range plinking. Shooting with a purpose of training a new skill or honing a current one is how I want to shoot moving forward. I will be doing their pistol class next saturday. Another cool thing is if you have already attended a class, you can re-attend it at a discounted rate which is nice... the more practice the better you will get.

This looks like a pretty good and informational class for the price! I am leaning 99.9% to sign up. I need to get a holster first, then I am good to go.
