I've seen removable grips, but never on anything but a Target model, and never with the engraving. Was it an in-shop custom with aftermarket Ruger grips?

Wow, that is unique, very nice looking. I have a stainless 22/45 and it is extremely accurate and will digest any type of ammo. Enjoy it!

Not that i know of. It was in the glass with a some other .22's (i.e p22's, buckmarks etc..)

I dont even think they knew wha exactley it was....

You dont see many of the removable grip panels because they arent on the CA roster. So that is either something somebody brought in, or a roster model that somebody sanded down and added screw bushings to install grip panels. Either way you have a unique gun there ;)

I figured maybe someone ordered just the removable panel grip frame and built it with the receiver from a standard 22/45, as only the upper receiver carries the serial number. Those laser engraved grips make it look like a factory job though.

Those grips are awesome. I'm in the market for the exact gun, have fun with it.

You got lucky with that! That's a Talo special edition Ruger 22/45 and it's an off roster handgun. You can find them on the net, but they are pretty rare.

Sweet!! So being a talo edition; aside from the grips, what makes it special??

Talo is a distributor that specializes in low quality/substandard firearms. I'd be willing to buy you out of your poor trade...;)
