Has anyone figured out how to make a PS90 CA legal yet? Is there any type of aftermarket stock or anything else that can be done to make it SB23 compliant?

This appears to be what you're talking about:

There are several considerations for CA legality, aside from not being sure if any 10rd magazines are available. I don't think this gun could work in a fixed mag setup, so you'd have to go to a legal detachable mag configuration:

1. The thumbhole stock needs to be filled in so your thumb can't go thru.
2. The front area in front of the trigger area opening may be regarded as a 'forward pistol grip'.
3. The overall length of the rifle has to be 30" or longer.

Then you have to look at the utility of having a rifle that easily shoots very expensive ammo that doesn't do a great downrange job. 5.7x28 is quite a bit more expensive than 223.

Yeah, other than for running around the house in my SG1 gear, the P-90 is pretty much useless. It shoots a pretty expensive 22 mag in my opinion.

I'll stick to my AR, thanks.

As Bill said, its possible. I'm going to wait on the 5.7 until prices start to drop (if ever) on the ammo. Or if they plan to ban the FN 5.7. The PS90 has been discuss just a couple times...

These guys are keeping us in mind. I hear he is going to make a Cali-legal stock but I dont know how he would be able to get around the forward grip.

Id say you need to bring the length out to 30 inches and find a way to fix the magazine and load from the top. FNs 10 rounders come glued so they cannot be modified to 30-50 rounders but if they wernt glued then I think a magazine could be made with a window to load the ammo from the top.

Not sure how a guy would go about fixing teh magazine but Im sure it can be done.

Ammo isn't all that bad... a little more than $20 for 50 rounds. It's priced about the same as Black Hills remanufactured match .223.

until of course you fire a P90...

darn sweet thingess (at least for me, just fondling it and wondering about that 90 degree turn the ammo makes...)

Is that flash hider integral to the barrel? That might pose a problem.

I'd go for a fixed-magazine version with the evil stuff and a buttpad extension.

Since the magazine is completely exposed out the top, and 10rd magazines are available, I think it would be possible to cut a groove out of the top of the magazine, length-wise, and attach some kind of handle onto the follower. Then, you could cut a hole in the top of the magazine for feeding in rounds.

Push the handle forward, relieving spring pressure, opening up the window, load 10 rounds through the hole on the top, release pressure on the handle, charge a round, shoot 10 rounds, repeat. The only problem with something like this is that the magazine would cover the button you need to press to takedown the rifle.

I think the gun would be a little too silly and not possible to return to normal if we played with ideas like filling in the stock to remove the "thumbhole stock."

Ammo prices are coming down - we're selling the SS197SR for $20/bx/50rds, down from $25 a couple months ago. If Wolf ever decides that they'll make some 5.7x28 ammo, the price may come down even more.

I've already got a few ARs, an HK clone and an AK on the way. Just want to add one more that's a little different. Honestly, the PS90 is the closest thing I can get to a Steyr AUG, so that's why I want one.

Anyways, I guess I'll wait for the CA legal stock.

Thanks!
