My new favorite toy thinks its a 5.56, but my wallet cherishes the fact that its in .22lr.

Even at night time she feels just like her centerfire counter part.

Best part, my Geiselle SSA trigger from my 5.56 lower gives me a sweet trigger pull even when I am plinking.

You just can't beat the economics of sending a .22 down range while you enjoy the muscle memory of the controls. Nice looking rig.

My Glock is usually correct in assuming its a 9mm, but often at the range it is wrong when it gets that mindset, because I like to save money shooting .22lr.

Thanks for the comment. I have yet to "camo" the upper as the lower has been done, and its missing it's front MBUS. Muscle memory is why i built this bad boy, since I can't practice reloads with my 5.56, I now can with my .22lr.

This is the only gun thats put a genuine smile on my girlfriends face, sadly it didn't stick for long. But it is just a fun gun to shoot with.

Unfortunately it took me about 5 years of buying and selling guns to realize I want as much crossover for training as possible. Also took me a while to realize that, for me, the Glock and the AR platform are where the money is at.

Its a Vortex Strikefire. Pretty sweet, I think Vortex may have a lifetime warranty. I also think its totally water proof. It is getting moved onto my Mosin when I save up for the Vortex Sparc, which is way smaller and $50 more.

By the way, the dot is smaller in real life, the camera just was unfocused so it blew the dot up.

Glad you found what works best for you. I like to have a variety available for when I take new shooters to the range. I start people off on .22lr's, it's funny but people connect on different levels; some like the Henry lever action, some the Henry pump action, some like tube fed and wood stocks, others like magazines and synthetic stocks.

When I retired I took my wife to a local gun shop and let her pick out a rifle, she chose a Ruger 10/22 Sporter because she loved the wood stock and how it felt in her hands. Our son has an AR and last Christmas we bought him the CMMG conversion so he is now able to enjoy the best of both worlds.

By the way, if you were closer and I wasn't buying Christmas presents, I would snap up that 10/22 you have for sale.

I definitely do like variety. I have my marlin model 60 with a scope for more precise shooting. And I am really excited for Saiga to release a .22lr version. My BIL has one of those henry .22's, they are pretty damn sweet. I wish I had a pump .22, some day I will get one. That would take me back to the days of plinking with my dad.

Variety is the spice of life.

Yeah that's what I was about to mention about the dot. And that's awesome man I'm going to have to check that out.
