Got to get out and kill something. If anyone would like to tag along just hit me up. Time to bag some more coyotes. The pelts are thickening and the season is right for them to respond to a call.

Locally to the Rosamond area so I am out of the Shotgun only zone.

One of the guys is going up with me, that leaves our bowhunter. He's pretty hardcore so I wouldn't hold my breath. Never know though! I was kinda hoping that Jeff would have us up on the same weekend so I could get some calling pointers after I fill my tag(s). Thanks for the firewood btw

I would love to teach you some tricks on how to call them in. Maybe next time.

This weekend is just a bit too short notice for me. But, I'm aching to join you. Perhaps later in the month?

I plan on going out tomorrow. I just hope i can get to sleep early enough. I haven't been out since last winter so hopefully I can find something. I hope to find a bob too.

Let me know if you could take me out next weekend to look for some Bobcat and I'm in. Nothing in the lead free zone though because I'm hoping to use my .22 Hornet and have yet to find lead free ammo for it.

Good luck Curtis. My life will be mine again in two weeks when my ex-wife and I finally close escrow on our house. I will have some time then to head out with you brother!

You don't handload?

You don't handload?

Not yet. It's on my "to learn/buy" list but that's a long list and it seems like something is always being shoved to the top, like the rebuilt tranny for my truck a couple weeks ago. I could have bought two of the Winchester 24's I've been lusting after for what that cost me, despite doing the bulk of the work myself.

Well, if you're ever up here, look me up and I'll spend a few hours with you, sharing what I know. FWIW, I'm an NRA certified instructor for metallic handloading, and I've learned from some pretty good people.

It's not all that expensive if 1) you're content with a single stage press, and 2) you only want to do one or two cartridges. It's when you need dies for 12 or 13 cartridges, and you want a progressive press, that it becomes a bit pricey.
