View Full Version : Any Recommendations for a good Gun Smith to Tap down my Rail on a Mosin Nagant?

Hey Guys

I have an aimpoint rail with scope on my Mosin and wanted to know if anyone has some suggestions on getting my rail tapped and screwed in as if you know some of these rails don't get tied down on the back side (which causes to flop if not tightened enough). I don't have the time or tools to do it myself and don't want to fudge the crap out of it.

Any suggestions for a Gun smith close to Downtown Los Angeles that can do this for me and not break my budget? Also how much would it normally cost? I know you experienced calgunners can suggest some good g-smiths!

are you talking drilling your reciever or just taping the mount?

kinda both Noonda, the mount already has a hole on it to screw in, but i think the receiver can be drilled into enough to but a screw in there to secure the mount
