View Full Version : Reliable magazine & ammo for Saginaw M1 Carbine

I just found a Saginaw M1 Carbine, but need to buy the magazine for it, any suggestions & where's the best price to get it?
About ammo, what's the good deal beside the surplus ammo (for range use only)?

One of the things I found with M1 Carbines and new shooters is that you can't "limp shoulder" carbines. High school kids love carbines
Carbines can failure to cycle just like a limp wristed pistol.
Sometimes it's not the ammo it's the shooter.
OK, so ProMag it is. Thanks!

I bought a Saginaw and could not get it to function properly with the cheap 10 round mags it came with. I got two Pro Mags after about a year and it pretty much cleared up any FTF and FTE malfunctions. Go Pro Mag. Any brand carbine ammo should do the job. Regards

I would recomend not using wolf steel ammo, some rifles do not work well with them, and they wreak havoc on the shell extractors

^^ Thanks. I ordered 250 rounds of American Eagle 110Gr FMJ & some Pro Mag already.
