I almost had to admit that this letter writing campaign rang a bell, then I read the story. It struck me that the impact of the effort was unfairly diminished by a single man's quotes and the use of the ever tainting word "conspiracy" in the CNN story.
I've read the charter and references on the NRA and other sites and seem to believe that the Committee chair was in fact blowing smoke, that the goal of the UN is elimination of all arms in private hands.
I'm also a bit curious as to why the NRA wouldn't have had the opportunity to offer a contrary opinion.
