I wanted to start a separate thread on this....

Anyway, my No.4Mk1* has the standard 300 yard peep and the flip up micrometer.

Using the sights is simple and straight forward, but someone said something about a 25 yard zero and something else about 200yards.

Can someone who knows what's up please clarify on the correct info about my rifle's sights?

The British used two zeroing targets, one for use at 100 yards and another for use at 25 yards. The rifle was meant to be zeroed on one of these targets using the micrometer narrow aperture sight set for 200 yards.

This site has the instructions:

And the targets:

If you have the data they have in there as to where POI should be at a given range you could probably also use a traditional zeroing target.
