I did this last year, using Garageband, I think, on my old Apple 15-inch Aluminum G4. I think I was using whatever GB it was before iLife9. Got three audio tracks that I saved as MP3s. But now with iLife9's GB on my iMac, I can't see the video tracks individually to delete them and have only the audio tracks.

What do I need to do?

Have to finish a project for CSACANNONNER, who has been waiting patiently and hopefully since June 2009.

Load the vid into Winamp and save the output audio to a .mp3 or .wav file. I do that all the time on my computer.

cant you just render the file into an MP3?

on my software, sony's vegas video pro, when i was editing stuff, and i was required to save MP3 files, all i did was render the output file as an MP3 type, instead of WMV...

You can use VLC player to convert the file to almost any format, including mp3's.
VLC is available for windows, mac, and linux. It's also free. Google for VLC to download.
