Hi Folks I have a J.C higgins Model 50 30-06 because it is over 50 years old what do I need to keep with it in my gun Bag?

Carry the gun in the gun bag.

There are no special documents, if that's what you mean. Just keep it unloaded while transporting and follow all other gun laws.

Hands, arms, torso, legs are useful but can be gotten around.

a C&R, as far as I know, does not need any more documentation than a regular rifle when just carrying it around.

A functional zipper on the bag would be optimum.

What do you mean? Like proof of ownership? Don't need that. Or what?
