without government documentation - - - no way to tell

nowwith that said - ask if it is import marked (especially under the op rod that can't be seen unless separate from stock.

I bought was what was described to me as an M1C.

When I first fired it, the scope mount rotated slightly so that it caused drag with the op rod.

The guy who put it together neglected to pin the mount to the barrel.

Another sad lesson learned the hard way.

the cheek rest is not original to the rifle, and the stock is not an M1D stock i believe.

I question the flashhider

I would also ask for pictures of the scope mount too.

Based on that, i would ask for documentation on this. other option as insurance is to request from the CMP a verification of serial as an M1D. that cost 25$.

Otherwise, you can build a real one from a documented rifle for 1550 plus parts of about $3K.

I think that the toenails may need a trim. :p
Just kidding, just buy socks, it is easier. :p
