Im going to Idaho in August. While im there my buddy and I were going to do some squirrel hunting. I'm relatively sure I will need a hunting license, but to get a license there do you have to pass a hunter safety course? Anybody know?

check it out because its legal to hunt jackrabbits in Utah without a licence...not sure about the laws in IDAHO. But if you need a licence you need a hunters saftey certificate.;)

I'm not the expert on Idaho laws but I'm guessing you would need a hunting license. If you show proof that you completed the hunter safety course in Kali, Idaho should honor that and just sell you an out-of-state license. Kali will honor out of state hunter safety courses so I don't see why a free state wouldn't do the same.

When I lived in Idaho every year I would buy hunting&fishing license, so I'm not 100% sure if you do or not but I think you do.

Best bet would be to call Idaho Fish and Game and ask them.
