I was watching Boardwalk Empire on HBO (great series BTW) and one of the main characters, James Darmody, was discussing the Colt 1903 with a WWI vet buddy. I had already seen "Jimmy" knock off couple of the opposition with his Colt 1903 in a previous episode. Needless to say, I had to post a couple of pics of mine, dated from 1913, one year prior to the start of WWI.

Nice one. I have a Colt M1908 (made in 1922) which is the .380 version of the 1903. I purchased a 1903 barrel and mag and able to shoot both calibers out of mine. Fun gun to shoot. I actually had a custom holster made for mine years back and carried it for a short time. Mine isn't pretty but its thin, as light as they get and fairly accurate too boot.

Nice pistol you have there.
The more I shoot mine, the more I like it. My wife likes it quite a lot as well.

If Colt made this gun again it would sell.
A retro version for shooting so we can save the old timers, and a more modern styled aluminum framed version.
Holding a real old timer is like touching history.
