Instead of using the other thread I thought it might be better to start my own.
Got my lower about an hour ago and fitted it to a Del-Ton upper I got from JSE Surplus. Got a cheap carry handle for a sight until I know what I really want to do.
Went together as easy as it should. Seems like it should go bang. Sure has a nice feeling trigger too.

This project went for:
DTI M4 upper and 1 CP magazine $377 shipped
PCL lower from Upstate Armory Grp $112 shipped
Bullet button from Bright Spot $15
2 CP magazines from 44mag $21
DROS & transfer Bullseye Sport $50
UTG carry handle from Amazon $27

So I guess I'm looking at $602 with 3 magazines.

So far I like what I see, and Friday I will see if it works!

Wow that's a really good price.

What's Bullseye did you do to? I thought the transfer fee was $125 if you get it online

Bulls Eye Sport in Riverside on Magnolia charges $50 total no tax on an FFL transfer. Vince is a good guy to deal with.

Can you weigh it for us?

I don't have a decent scale unfortunately. My bathroom scale says 6# +- but who knows. I wanted a light build and it is pretty light but doesn't feel muzzle heavy with the M4 CAR upper.

Can you post a pic of the gas key staking on the bolt carrier? I'm considering a D-T rifle kit in the near future and would like to see how well its staked. Thanks and thats a fine lookin' rifle.

The DTI upper works fine after replacing a defective extractor. Extractor hook was all but missing and wouldn't extract the shells. Bought a new one and worked fine. Contacted D-T and they sent me a new extractor, spring, insert, and o-ring in 3 days.
Staking job, is better than some I have seen, worse than most, but I think adequate. I check it regularly and at the first sign of any looseness I will re-stake it, but I want to run it as is until then.
