DPMS Lower is listed if I recall correctly...

I was wondering the same thing. Any DPMS Panther is listed, but I don't know if an "LRT SASS" counts as a "Panther". Or is it kinda like how a SR-25 is listed but an M110 isn't?

The SASSs I've seen online for CA have had the lowers replaced, but don't know if that's necessary.

GettoPhilosopher,

Unless there has been a sudden recent change, all DPMS rifles are (and have been for quite some time) marked on the lower receiver as "DPMS Panther" and with a panther logo. That could well be regarded as falling under "DPMS Panther (all)" in 11 CCR 5499 (the Kasler listing of 'series' guns).

Yes, there is some handwaving possibly available that might be used as a defense against criminal charges but in no way should acquiring guns with lowers marked as such be regarded as 'recommended conduct' - in fact, it should indeed well be avoided: gunnies don't need the legal risk and we don't need to waste time fighting "Son of Harrott" case.

Thanks for the the replies - I wasn't sure if the lowers listed include 308s but no sense poking a stick into the wasp nest. No good can come from that.
