They are still in business at the same location, however...

their inventory seems sadly lacking.

$199 must be a current price. Think I paid around $80 for mine back when. Of course that was about a 1/3 of my month's pay back then.

I don't think they are there anymore. I stopped by 2-3 years ago and they were locked up and cleaned out.... If they re-opened that would be great..! Anybody with current info...? Regards

No longer in business..They were great..Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and great deals...Always willing to bargain. Always willing to search the backroom for odds and ends such as old grips and misc parts as well..I sure miss them.

$19,900 for a Garand no wonder they are out of business.

figured that, but it was a carbine, not a garand

Old Sac Armory closed a few years ago. Neat place when it was open. I bought a couple of Japanese Arisakas from them.

Old Sac Armory has been closed for a few years now, but they were a fun shop to visit - most of their surplus stuff was on racks throughout the store and you could handle the inventory without being bothered. I remember when they had racks of M1's and SKS's, mixed in with a few Garands and shotguns.

If you're looking for a gun store in Sacramento, try River City Gun Exchange off Fruitridge or Cordova Shooting Center. Cordova usually has a monthly online ad.

Bought my first AK at Old Sac armory in 1985.$299.99 for New Norinco AK with 3 30 round mags, sling, bayonet and cleaning kit.Was here on vacation from NJ visiting family.Paid cash, walked out the door with it.Sent it UPS to myself in NJ.Did not violate any laws at the time.25 years later,we are much less free.

Old Sac Armory was run out of business by the State DOJ a few years ago. It was a good shop. I was in there the week they closed, something to do with paperwork improprieties?
