Decided to install the optics myself. I was going to farm it out, but I'm satisfied with the work I did. Regardless, here are the Specs:

Remington 700 SPS Tactical in .223
AICS 2.0
Jewell Trigger
Bushnell 4200 Elite 6-24x50
TPS Rings (Medium)
EGW Base
Bolt Modification by R&D
Gunsmithing by R&D Precision and Dean Wilkerson

Glad I went with Medium rings, the comb on the AICS is fairly high, and the mediums are perfect for cheek weld etc...Even though the Scope sits pretty high above the barrel, any lower would cause trouble getting a good sight picture...

Very nice rifle! I gotta give you credit for being patient. Sometimes with these things we, for the sake of getting up and running, throw things on that arent exactly what we want. doesnt look like you fell into that trap. Beautiful rifle.

Thank You. I did compromise with the scope, I really wanted to go Zeiss or Nighforce, but I don't have the funds available at the moment. Down the road perhaps. But thank you, I can't wait to give it a whirl!

Range report coming in the next week or two. I'm currently working up some loads. Rifle, in stock form with a Bushnell 3200 Elite 10x40 was producing .5 MOA with 60 Grain Hornady V-Max and a starting load of either IMR 4198 or 4895, can't remember which powder (Think it was 4198).

It was shooting right at MOA with Hornady 68 Grain BTHP Match bullets and the same powder, but I got spoiled with the smaller groups the V Max bullets were giving me. I'm going to try the 68 grainers again with a healthier dose of powder...Loaded up some with Varget and Winchester 748, and made them a bit warm. I really want it to shoot those heavier bullets and group well. Regardless, I'm going to load up more of the V-Max's for sighting in, the load that I have that is already proven with the rifle...

Edit: These were 100 yard groups...

I actually love the look of this, it does remind me alot of that British army rifle, the .338 lapua or was that what you were going for? What type of magazine is it? stock? and stock magazines?

He actually mentioned the name of the stock (AICS 2.0). Accuracy International Chassis System 2.0 is the stock model. It's the stock from the Accuracy International Arctic Warfare and version 2.0 has a folding stock. They made a version of their stock that will fit a Remington 700. The magazines come from the same company. I don't own one but Calgunner PRYDE let me fire a round out of his in .308 win. He told me the folding stock is handy because it allows you to remove the bolt from the gun easily. With the fixed stock version (1.5) you have to remove the cheek piece first.

OP: That is a great looking gun

Not entirely true from my experience. The bolt comes out easily with or without the folding stock. For a LA it maybe be true. Where it shines imo is that it allows you to clean much easier with a dewey rod.
