Does anyone know if I can get a real 9" commando LMT M203 but barreled for 37mm just like the one pictured here? I'm not a fan the way Spikes looks and I want it to attach to the rail just like this:

A 9in barrel is a no go unless its on a pistol lower...or unless you have a perm attached muzzle device that brings total barrel length to atleast 16.1 inches.

Yes you can.
You must find a virgin non-DD registered M203 receiver. This will transfer as a title 1 firearm receiver. Clyde Armory sells them. You need to find an FFL that won't freak out when transfering it. You can then get a 37mm barrel for it. Shivak mfg makes them, and I think that Clyde sells those too.
Be aware that this is an evil feature for an aw.
I would also recommend that you buy new, and not a used one. With a used, you are dependent on trusting that somebody else hasn't papered it as a DD.
I would also recommend that you have the barrel engraved with 37mm USCG flares only etc etc to.
You also need to know fed and state DD laws so you can explain it, because the LMT receiver will say on it 40mm grenade launcher.
You also need to know that it will be a magnet for LEO attention at the range.
If you want to PM to discuss, please so.

Gotta love living in a place that is afraid of the law abiding citizens.

No problem. Have you done this? Do you have any pics?

Oh and most importantly... The LMT bare receiver will run you upwards of $1500. By the time your done you're looking at a $2,500 flare launcher.

Haha damn! Someone suggested buying an airsoft replica. What is the difference other than where they are manufactured?

Just make sure the airsoft replica isn't a 40mm tube. Feds are funny about that stuff.

How about one of these? A lot cheaper than 1,500 but I know nothing about the company.

Cobray makes M203 clones in 37mm. You can buy them from Cobray or FTF Industries. Here are two Gun Broker links, carbine and rifle length, both from FTF.

No tax stamp or any controls, these are not 40mm therefore they are not DDs. These can be shipped straight to your door.

Check the Private Firearms For Sale section here on the CGN, there was one listed there the first of last month or the end of Sept I think, 37mm LMT
