Have not heard anything about the lawsuit challenging the roster, anyone one know the status?

It's on hold (http://ia700204.us.archive.org/23/items/gov.uscourts.caed.191444/gov.uscourts.caed.191444.28.0.pdf) pending the resolution of Nordyke v. King (http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/index.php/Nordyke_v._King). The Judge thinks the cases are related, even though we think differently.

Talk about stalling!

FUTURE EVENTS

We are waiting for a ruling from the 3-judge panel. There is no set "date" for the opinion to be released
It's anybody's guess how long this may take; perhaps 3-6 months.

My guess is that the next filing for this is sitting in someone's outbox to be filed the day Nordyke is decided.

Well, chances are that'll be in 60-90 days, so we don't have *that* much longer to wait. Hopefully Nordyke gets us strict scrutiny; if that's the case the roster will fall quickly.

Pena will be decided in our favor on 21 December 2012. . .

(And no, I don't actually believe that garbage.)

It's already 11? Time is fun when you are having flies... or so.

As long as it doesn't get decided after the Large Hadron Collider creates a black hole that eats up the Earth & the entire universe... Oh, it already did...

If I understand the legal maneuvering involved it may turn out to be a good thing it's taken so long. The original decision was based on a lackadaisical level of scrutiny but post Heller and McDonald it may (will?) have to be strict scrutiny. Since it invalidates Hickman v Block the prospects for defacto shall-issue look much better.

I hope it doesn't drag out like the Myra Clark Gaines case
