I bought a handgun from the classifieds and I need to travel to get it. I live in Bakersfield which is quite a way from the bay area. The seller is in San Francisco. He is willing to travel a bit. I need an FFL who can do a PPT on Saturday.

I searched and I read good reviews about Rogers Relics, I called but they only do PPT Monday-Friday between 9-11. The only day that I'm available is on Saturday.

Anybody know of a good FFL with a reasonable price?

Thanks.

Check Targetmasters in Milpitas. They are open on weekends and their hours are pretty extensive.

It often takes a while to get the PPT paperwork done (many checks and balances but that makes it EFFECTIVE, not EFFICIENT), but if you get it done that's what matters.

For PPT there is a state mandated $35 fee (total) I believe. That gives $25 to the state and $10 to the FFL

I am halfway through a transfer with Valkyrie Arms in Milpitas (further discussed here (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=332543)) and they seem like good folks - open mostly nights/weekends which may or may not match your schedule.

I recommend Roger's Relics in Santa Clara or Valkyrie Arms in Milpitas. I don't recommend Target Masters, they don't just take a little extra time try about 2 hours for a handgun.

I ended up going with Irvington Arms in Fremont. Helluva long drive from Bakersfield. 3.5-4 hours. But they were great guys and got the paperwork done quick. Looks like I'll be making that drive again in 10 days.

If you're looking to get another gun here in the bay area again, keep us in mind. We're located in Gilroy.
