I currently am selling my blackhawk plate carrier for a better system. I was happy with the blackhawk but I tried on a friends condor operator plate carrier and it felt great. His son used this rig for airsoft so Im wondering if anyone uses them outside the airsoft world. If so how do they hold up? If it is just airsoft junk then is there a similar system on the market. I especially like how they have molle on the sides whereas my blackhawk rig just has straps connecting the front and back.

I would also like the plate carrier to be in ACU which condor offers.

The system in question looks like the link below.

Rig would be used for run and gun type shooting as well as carbine classes. Wont be using this rig for actual fighting but would like a rig that can stand up to some hard use.

Any info or recommendations would be helpfull.

Looks like an Eagle plate carrier knock off, I would buy the Eagle one instead. ( made in usa if that matters to you too)

they have them in ACU. I've seen them. Gotta find a store that sells them.

skdtac.com has ACU but not in stock right now.

The Condor would not be an upgrade from a Blackhawk.

Also, much of the Eagle is now outsourced and not made in the USA anymore. At least that is how the tags read.

Condor (IMHO) is great for Milsim/Airsoft/Paintball. Their product is nice, fits well and is affordable. Understand that they are basically copies of current industry trends. I don't recommend their med/storage pouches as their snaps tend to come undone during movement. If the "($#^%)" hit the fan and all I had was Condor I would use it. If you can afford other products I suggest either S.O.E. or Tactical Assault Gear. S.O.E. also has licensed gear through an outfit called Paladin. Paladin gear is dead nuts equal to S.O.E. but it's assembled off shore. TAG is a great product too but a bit pricey. These are the two I like but everyone is built differently and it's probably good to try different brands. If you live in the SF Bay Area I'd be willing to let you try on/borrow some of the plate carriers/chest rigs I own as I know how frustrating it is to find the right thing.

I have one of these in ACU and HIGHLY recommend it:

Here are some websites with plate carriers:
http://www.optactical.com/mollevestsrigs.html
http://www.aresarmor.com/install/index.php?app=ecom&ns=catshow&ref=tag

The ONLY Condor product I would recommend is this (If you're not running plates):

Feel free to PM me with any questions......
Good Luck.....

I think you mean S.O. Tech, because they are a sister company to Paladin. But S.O. Tech complies with certain military regs and stays US based to get contracts.

SOE or OSOE is not licensing anything to Paladin as far as I know. I can't imagine John doing that. And in any case it has to be a mix-up. No way Paladin and OSOE are dead nuts anything alike.

This is SOE, and it has been leaps and bounds above just about everything for well over a decade.

CRAP. Excuse me, technique is correct. It is S.O. Tech. Why I was thinking S.O.E. I have no clue. Sorry for the mistake.
