View Full Version : Sig P220 Equinox Range Report

Hi All,

So I finally got to take my new Sig P220 Equinox to the range last night. WOW! For a .45acp there's hardly any recoil...especially compared to the Springfield 1911 that I rented last time.

Here is my very FIRST magazine that I shot at 10 yrds out...

The only downside to this is, it shot pretty much the same as my Sig P226 .40s&w, but the .45acp ammo is much more expensive...Love the way it looks, love the way it shoots, just not quite sure if I will keep this Sig if it get too expensive to shoot & I just end up shooting my P226 more.

Everyone needs a .45

I have the same gun and I agree, the felt recoil seems noticeably less than a 1911 despite the fact that the 1911 is heavier.

You could always sell them both and get a P226 Equinox, but you can get .45 at walmart for ~$17

i have a 226 equinox. It isnt going to shoot any different than a normal 226, i just do it it style :cool2: The .40sw is quite snappy, i like 45acp better.

The equinox line is not worth the money, i only have one because I got mine for $800. At that price, it was only a little more expensive than a "normie" :)

Nice gun! Next sig will be that or the p228. How much did it run you and is it a newer one and/or older extractor?

the P220 is a great handgun; mine is an older w german .45 ACP.

consider an older P220 9mm in addition....
