Can someone else buy this gun so I don't have to buy it. Don't let the black paint scare you they did that to many of the CZ52s, it comes off and some BLO will make it look nice again. At $95.00+ $18.00 shipping it is a good deal.

Well kids, I went ahead and got the CZ. For the price, you can't beat it.

You can reform .270 brass and trim it to make reloadable 7.62x45.

Ammo can be found at the gun shows (best price) or on the online auctions like gunbroker, auctionarms, etc. If you search for 7.62x45 on the auctions you can also find adapters for converting to 7.62x39, I do not know if these are safe or functional.

Thanks but I ordered a mag from an on line dealer and I have some ammo....found a bunch of ammo at another site after a quick search...it was like $40 for 120/rnds. I'll keep shopping though...FYI, the mag was only $20

DOH!!! I just checked your link...those mags are only $15!!! The only reasonable thing to do is buy a few more. One can never have too many right?

The gun is actually a VZ52. If you go over to http://www.gunboards.com/forums/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=16 (czech weapons forum) there is more info. 7.62x45 ammo is hard to come by. Mags are plentiful for the VZ52, not so for the VZ 52/57. I have the 52/57 and I paid $100 for 2 mags. But they're original 7.62x39. I've shot it a few times. Neat gun. Good luck finding ammo.

Found two pretty decent mags for the CZ at Costa Mesa today. Got both for $30. It was worth the trip for me!

Here is some ammo at $3.50 per 15 round box. If shipping is not too bad that would be a decent deal. The gun shows are $4-5 bucks a box.
