Just thought that I'd share with all of you. I just bought a Colt Detective Special revolver from my local gun store. It's a beautiful piece of work! Hardly any scratches on it, I would rate the finish at about 95%. I'll post pictures when I pick it up later on. The Colt that I bought looks just like the one in the picture attached.

How much did you buy it for?

Looks like a third generation Detective Special.

It's official. I hate you. ;)

I believe it's a Fourth Series... a 2" shrouded barrel with medallion-insert rubber grips.

I got it for $575 which I believe is not a bad deal at all! I get to pick it up on November 6th because it was a consignment sell and they have to wait 30 days before the DROS can be started. It's going to be one of the longest months of my life! I bought this gun to replace my Ruger LCR with crimson grips which I will be selling soon.

Nice revolver, Detective Specials are my favorite snub nosed revolvers, despite their weight being heavier than many of the Smith J-frames. I like the blueing, aesthetics and 6 shot cylinders.
