I have been considering getting it to use on my laptop at work(our isp is complete ****) and I am wondering what anyone who has this thinks.

If you're referring to the pay-as-you-go, $40 for a month of unlimited, yes. It works well. I have the USB-style dongle, which you can sometimes find on sale for about $60 (with coupon/code)

I've used it with WinXP, Vista and Win7.

Virgin Mobile piggybacks on Sprint's EVDO network.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, I am getting real sick of slower than dialup speeds at work. Makes reading multimegabyte datasheets a massive pain in the ***, this might be a good way to speed things up a bit.
