I've placed an order for the new MR1 with Turner's Outdoor. The CA legal version has the comfortech stock on it and ditches the PG. Does anyone have the CA legal version yet? Any thoughts re accuracy, reliability, pickiness of ammo? Which are the best 10 round mags to buy for it (comes with crappy 5 round mag)? Best ammo? Pics? Where the best place to purchase the forward tri picatinny rail? I've decided to go with the MR1 because I'm still avoiding the bullet button options. Have a kel tec su 16 ca and hoping this purchase will be a major upgrade.

When will the Ca. legal MR1 be here. I went to a shop and they told me they had no idea. I would like one of those for coyote hunting. I do not want to mess with a bullet button.

I ordered one too and I have no idea when delivery is supposed to be. The gun uses AR-15 magazines so my old pre-ban 30 rounders are my choice...

Gents, picked mine up (Benelli MR1) about 2 weeks ago from Turners. I installed the tri rail which is a pain. After dumping money for the three sided rail you're required to drill four holes into the hand guard for proper installation. Learning to tear down and reassemble the weapons takes time and patience. I dropped an ACOG 3.5x35 with a RMR self illuminated amber dot piggy backing onto the rail system. Had a blast zeroing the rifle at the range. So far so good. I'm pretty happy. I'd like to see how it performs against my Kel Tec SU 16 CA. I need to bring both to the range for comparison. Unfortunately, the MR1 and SU 16 CA are my only options because I'm too much of a ***** to get a better rifle with a bullet button. Please let me know if anyone comes across LAPD or LA Sheriff info/memos/bulletins/officers that state they're legal. I know other cities have similar documents but I live in LA.

Been raining on all my days off. What little shooting I did on my first day impressed me and all who fired it. Sweet, sweet rifle.

I have one and have about 200 rounds down the pipe. I have added grip tape to the forward stock to reduce slippage and I am thinking of adding a few slim strips to the hand grip.
Its a pretty recoil reducer shooter. I am thinking about sending it out and getting a compensator added, it doesnt need it but it seems it would be interesting.
