My walmarts (in socal) does not carry rifle cases. They do but they are el cheapos packed into a 6"x6" bag. Turners and Big 5 have not had a sale for months. Wheres the best place to buy these? SHould I just dish out $20 for a Dosko Hard case? or wait?

If your rifle is going on a plane or shipping somewhere, the Cabela's Bullet-proof aluminum cases were the strongest in a GUN-TESTS review. They are close to $200, though.

For going back and forth to the range, I use a Dosko single bought at BIG-5 for about $20. Your local non-chain gun store may have a sale on cases. I bought my double rifle case at small store in Northern California for only $30 (sale price).

Turners gets their shipments on Tuesdays, so Wednesday is a good day to call and ask if they have any Doskos in stock. In most cases, they have a few coming in.

Pelican cases from Cases4Less.com. Hard to beat those prices.

Try Big 5, too.
